Starting from June, Beckhoff is changing the 12-inch displays of Panel PCs and Control Panels from CCFL (= fluorescent lamps) to LED background lighting. The new display has an extended angle of view in all directions and is characterised by a higher brightness with the usual high life expectancy. The change to LED technology does not affect the price. Beckhoff already offers 5.7- and 6.5-inch displays with LED background lighting; further display sizes are to follow.
